Officers responded to Kendall Avenue at 8:31 pm for a report of a stolen Dodge Durango, but it turned out there was a little more to the story.
A man said he struck a deal to sell the vehicle to another man, but the guy hadn’t paid him yet and took the truck without permission.
Officers tracked down the other guy to speak to him. He said he gave the man $150 and a cell phone for the vehicle. The man said the other guy signed the title over to him and he planned to take it to be notarized in the morning.

The man didn’t want to file charges, but he did want to tow the car away. Police advised all parties of what to do next.
