A man went into Aaron’s on Walnut and stole a scooter at 11:08 am. Witnesses saw him leave in a red pickup truck with trash in the back.

Thanks to a witness getting the license plate, officers were able to positively ID the driver of the truck. Police said they would check Wayne Hills for the suspect, Justin Everman.

At 10 pm, witnesses reported a suspicious RV in the area of Robinson Avenue and saw people looking into the windows of homes and cars.

Officers caught up with the suspects on Franklin and found a whole bunch of property. One of the people identified a suspect in the scooter theft.

Justin Everman was arrested and booked into the Scioto County Jail the following day on a charge of receiving stolen property. He’s been arrested at least a dozen times previously for crimes like parole violation, domestic violence, theft, fraud, and DUI. His last arrest was on May 21 for criminal damaging. Bond was set at $1,000.
