Greyhound offers free rides home for runaways

Greyhound is offering a lifeline for runaway kids – a free bus ticket home.

It’s estimated that over one million kids run away from home each year, leaving parents and guardians worried and putting their own safety at risk.

Often times once kids get too far from home, they have no easy way to get back. The bus company has partnered with the National Runaway Safeline to make sure kids can get back home to their families.

Kids between the ages of 12 and 21 are eligible for a Greyhound free ticket, but there are some requirements.

Each person can only use a free ticket on two occasions.

If the child is under 15, Greyhound will also provide a

free ticket for the parent or legal guardian.

The National Runaway Safeline also features help for kids who are thinking about running away and advice for parents concerned about a child running away.
