Gun Pulled in Tow Truck Dispute

Two hurt in Rarden shooting

Deputies were called in after a dispute between an employee and an employer ended with a gun being drawn.

Just before 7 pm, officers responded to a call involving a threat with a firearm. A man said he was on his way out of Aldi’s when he spotted a tow truck belonging to his company in the parking lot of the South Point Casa Grande Restaurant.

He saw the driver come out of the restaurant, get in the vehicle, and come across the street. He pulled up beside the man and told him to take the truck to his business.

He said the driver got out of the vehicle, said he was quitting his job. The truck owner said he followed the driver home in order to pick up the truck and return it to the lot himself.

However, he said when he arrived at his house, the man warned him to stay off his property and pulled a gun on him.

The owner noted a toolbox was missing off the truck, but the driver told him to shut the f*** up and returned to this home.

Multiple witnesses confirmed the driver had pulled a weapon. However, when officers spoke to the driver, he said he hadn’t pulled a weapon. Deputies seized a loaded handgun from the passenger side of his vehicle and took it into evidence. They arrested the driver for aggravated menacing.
