What started as a minor dispute turned into a late-night scare just down the street.
Around 10:30 p.m., Portsmouth officers were called to Grandview Avenue for a report of a juvenile causing a disturbance. Police said it appeared to be a misunderstanding, and everyone involved was advised to stay away from each other.
A couple hours later, things escalated.
Just before midnight, officers were called to Sunset Bowling Lanes on 17th Street after reports that two juveniles in a black 1990s-style Chevy pickup had pulled a gun on students in the parking lot.
The suspects were described as two white male juveniles—one wearing a red hoodie, the other a black hoodie—and had already left the area by the time police were called.
Callers also told dispatch they believed these were the same individuals officers had dealt with earlier on Grandview.
