Harry Donald Wheeler, 77 of Portsmouth

Harry Donald Wheeler, 77 of Portsmouth, a former Beaver area resident, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born July 30, 1944, in Rock House, Kentucky, a son of the late Greenville and Roxie Roark Wheeler. Harry was an auto body mechanic and painter, he owned & operated Don’s Body Shop in Beaver and attended Victorious Life Worship Center in New Boston.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Gaines Wheeler; one son, Harry (Kelly) Wheeler; one daughter, Tyla (John) Watters; three stepdaughters, Ada (James) Mills, Melissa Shepherd, Kimberly Parker; one stepson, Rick Newsome; four grandchildren, Mindy Whisman, Kole Wheeler, Leah Tanner, Kerrigan Wheeler; a host of step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gay Henry, Kathy Bobst, and one brother, Gary Wheeler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Golda Wheeler; one daughter, Tina Tanner, and one brother, Charles Wheeler.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Vicki Bays officiating. Burial will be at Stockdale Cemetery.
