Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies came to the aid of New Boston Police after a report of a fleeing motorcycle at 8:30 pm. The biker ran several red lights before taking off.
Officers said the motorcycle was going over 70 miles an hour as it hit the dangerous curves of Rosemount Road.
New Boston Police lost sight of the motorcycle and gave up the chase. A deputy spotted the bike at Rosemount Road and the Scioto Trail but eventually lost sight of it as well and gave up the pursuit.
Man Arrested After Dirt Bike Police Chase
Officers took a man riding a dirt bike into custody after he failed to stop for officers on US 23 South.
He headed down Fairview Avenue and then on Robert Lucas Road where officers detained him on the railroad tracks.
Police took him into custody and impounded the dirt bike.
