Homeless Man Attacks Doctor at SOMC
Just after midnight, officers responded to SOMC after a man lunged at a doctor.
When officers arrived at the hospital, the doctor declined to press charges, but the hospital did bar the man from the premises.
An officer gave the man a ride to the 8th Street Homeless Shelter but warned him he could be in trouble if he continued to behave aggressively.
Hospital Kicks Out Cranky Woman – She Blames Blood Sugar
A woman contacted PPD to complain that SOMC had kicked her out when she sought treatment.
The hospital said staff asked the woman to leave because she was hostile and disrespectful to staff. They also said the woman’s son got into a security guard’s face before they left the premises.
The woman said she was irritated with the staff because she was having a blood sugar crisis. Additionally, she complained that she’d left her phone charger at the hospital.
Officers retrieved the charger, returned it to the woman, and advised her to seek medical care elsewhere.
