Hot Pursuit Around Friendship

Most of us know it’s a good idea to pull over when we see blue lights, but not everyone does. Officers ended up in a hot pursuit with an ATV that refused to pull over.

It all started around 7:30 pm, when an Ohio Department of Natural Resources Officer reported they were in pursuit of a red SUV.

Deputies joined in the pursuit and clocked the ATV going 60 MPD on Moore’s Lane. The rider then turned the vehicle back toward US 52 and cut through a field before heading onto Camp Street. The guy fled past Buckeye Dairy Bar and Weaver’s before heading up a hill into the woods.

Deputies followed the guy when he got back onto Rt. 52 and headed North before going onto Stoney Run.

While chasing the guy, one of the deputy’s cruisers blew a tire, and they ended up needing a tow. The man disappeared into the woods and officers called for a tow truck for their vehicle.
