Officers helped her get out of traffic and back on her way. 20 minutes later, Norfolk Southern Police alerted officers that a semi was stuck on the railroad tracks on Harding Avenue. Train traffic was stopped while railroad maintenance responded to assist. 🚚 Stuck Trucks and Fender-Benders Just after 1 p.m., a box truck became stuck on U.S. 52, but bystanders were able to help the driver free it. At 1:52 p.m., a two-vehicle crash blocked traffic at 9th and Chillicothe. One driver was cited. By 2:42 p.m., another vehicle crashed into a pole at Kinneys Lane and the Scioto Trail. Officers issued a citation and had the vehicle towed. 🚗 Hit, Skip, and Insurance Reports Around 2:57 p.m., police investigated a two-car crash near the Dash Thru on Gallia Street. One vehicle had already left the scene. The remaining driver said he was stopped at a red light when another vehicle—described as a truck with a plow—rear-ended him. The driver asked only that the incident be documented for insurance. 🚨 Afternoon Trouble Spots At 4 p.m., a 17th Street caller reported a Jeep striking multiple vehicles, with concerns the driver might be intoxicated. Officers cited the driver, impounded the Jeep, and arranged for a tow. By 4:45 p.m., officers responded to Norway Road, where a Ford Fusion was stuck. The road had not been plowed or treated, and family members were already on scene trying to help. ❄️ Snowbanks Shrink the Streets Police were later called to Sunrise Avenue for reports of vehicles blocking traffic. Officers noted the cars weren’t truly blocking the road—they were just parked farther from the curb due to snow buildup. One driver agreed to adjust.
