A worried dad stuck behind bars in prison contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office around 2 p.m. to ask them to check on his child.
He said the child was living with a relative and told him they had caught the uncle doing drugs and didn’t want to live there anymore.
The inmate wasn’t sure he was getting the whole story and asked if officers would do a welfare check on the child when school got out.
Police responded to the home, but no one was home.
