Intoxicated Teen Disturbance Ends With Hospital Trip

Portsmouth police were called to 5th Street around 4:45 a.m. after a report of a 19-year-old woman who was very intoxicated and causing a disturbance.

Officers responded, but the situation did not end there.

A short time later, the caller contacted police again and said the woman had returned and was yelling at her mother.

Officers went back to the scene. According to the log, the woman briefly left through the back of the building before returning inside.

Police requested medics to come back for her.

Ohio State Highway Patrol was also contacted to check the Pond Run and Duck Run area for a possible vehicle accident. Deputies were also sent to another address to check on a woman.

The situation ended when the woman went with her mother to the hospital.

No charges were listed in the information provided.

The call started as an intoxicated person disturbance, but early-morning cases like this can quickly turn into welfare checks, missing-person concerns, possible crash checks, and medical calls all at once.
