Jackson County Woman Spits On, Bites Officers

woman punches

A young Jackson County woman spit on and bit officers after she was arrested for socking people in the face.  The police report reads like a laundry list of bad behavior. Even when the 21-year-old woman was in custody, she didn’t calm down a bit.

Let’s take a look at what went down at a gathering last weekend on Sour Run Road.

Throwing Punches

Police were called to a home on Sour Run Road for a report of disturbance. Multiple witnesses told Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputies that, Jordan Lane, of Coalton, had showed up, uninvited, to an outdoor gathering at the home of Edward and Leslie Israel.

Lane confronted the guests because she believed they were talking smack about her. When the Israels told her to leave, she punched Leslie in the jaw. When Edward tried to stop her, Lane socked him in the face and scratched his arm.

Under the Influence

  • Officers found Lane a short distance from the house and detained her.
  • She appeared to be under the influence of unknown narcotics.
  • Two hypodermic needles were found in her purse.

The Charges

After her arrest, Lane was taken to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. When deputies checked with probation officials and Municipal Court Judge Mark Musick, they discovered Lane was out on bond for another case. Her bail was revoked.

She was charged with:

  • Possessing drug abuse instruments
  • Criminal tresspassing
  • Two Counts of assault

Hospital Attack

On Sunday, Lane was taken to Holzer Medical Center-Jackson for a medical well-being check. According to the report, she became disorderly at the medical facility.

Deputies were called to the scene to assist a Jackson County Correctional Officer and a hospital security officer. The corrections officer says Lane spit on her. Then the agitated young woman got into a fight with the hospital security officer and bit him. The corrections officer and security officer managed to pin her to the ground. They held her until deputies arrived.

She was taken back to the Jackson County Correctional Facility without any more problems. Lane now faces two additional charges.

  • 5th degree felony assault on a correctional officer
  • 1st degree misdemeanor assault for attacking the security officer.
