According to the Highway Patrol, Jackson was headed eastbound on SR 348 when it collided with a farm tractor driven by Edward Cable of Lucasville. Both vehicles were headed in the same direction toward SR 348 when Cable reportedly attempted to turn left onto Martin Cemetery Road. As Cable initiated his turn, the truck attempted to pass on the left, leading to the collision. Cable died at the scene.
