Janis Jameson, 51 passed away March 19, 2022, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. She was born May 12, 1970, to the late Richard and Marilyn (Scherer) Born.
Janis loved her work as a Beautician and Lash Artist where she met many life-long friends. She enjoyed boating, Ohio State Football, and feeding and watching the birds. Everyone who knew Janis would say she was kind. She always had a smile on her face to greet you, friends and strangers alike, and she had an uncommon joy for life.
Janis is survived by her husband, Cliff Jameson whom she married on December 6, 1997; a stepdaughter, Rian Jameson; two brothers, Dean Born and wife Eva of Monroeville and Ed Born of Fremont; one sister, Ruth Ann Lewis and husband Fred of Groveport and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and Jim Born, and a sister, Karen Born.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 26, 2022, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2022, from 5 to 7 PM with a Rosary Service to follow at 7 PM at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Saint Jude’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in honor of Janis.
