Jay Anthony Foster, 56, of West Portsmouth passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022. He was born August 1, 1965, in Portsmouth, a son of the late John and Wilma Wedebrook Foster. He was a graduate of Portsmouth West High School and a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed woodworking and rebuilding wrecked cars.
Jay is survived by a son, Dusty Foster of Wheelersburg; two daughters, Stephanie Thoroughman and husband Brandon and Tammy Hatfield all of West Portsmouth; two brothers, John “Joey” Foster of West Portsmouth and Jeff Foster of Manchester; a sister, Jenny Allison of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Jerry and Austin Holsinger and Katelyn, and a very special friend, Melissa. He was also preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Hatfield Foster.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston. Interment to follow at Scioto Burial Park with Military Graveside Honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Monday, July 11, 2022, and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
