Jerry Michael Curtis, 74, of Waverly, Ohio passed away Monday, June 15, 2026 at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born October 9, 1951 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late William “Bill” Curtis and Mabel Sutton Curtis.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Ramona “Gay” Blevins Curtis; children, Amanda Curtis and Michael Curtis both of Waverly; brothers, John Curtis and Christopher (Shelli) Curtis both of Waverly; a sister, Elizabeth Curtis of Waverly; and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Curtis and Randall Curtis.
Jerry was a 1969 graduate of Piketon High School and before he retired from Lowes he also worked construction and in prosthetics. He was an avid bass fisherman, arrowhead hunter and enjoyed building furniture and wood carving. Most of all he loved his family and he loved the Lord.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2026 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Homes in Waverly. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery on Denver Rd. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
