Johnie David Kilgallion, 72, of Otway, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026. He was born July 16, 1954, in Portsmouth to the late John and Daisy Royster Kilgallion. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Ronald Kilgallion, and a sister, Carolyn Kilgallion.
Johnie was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was a talented mechanic, engine builder, and artist who had a passion for hot rods and took great pride in restoring them. Above all, Johnie was a selfless man with a heart of gold who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren, who meant the absolute world to him. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with those he loved, and he will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the love he had for his family.
Johnie is survived by his children, Josh Kilgallion, Jessica (Jason) Swords, and Elizabeth (Adam) Roades; his brothers, James, Robert, and Eugene Kilgallion; a sister, Nellie Pribble; and his grandchildren, Connor, Nathaniel, John, Mickey, Miranda, Ashlynn, Kyleigh, Louella, Jesse, and Sagan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth, with a private family burial to follow. Visitation will be held Monday, November 9, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
