A Michigan woman has been charged with felony drug possession after being stopped by Ohio State Highway Patrol in Scioto County. Officers seized 405 grams of fentanyl worth about $52,650 during the traffic stop.

The Patrol’s drug-detecting canine alerted to a 2020 Nissan Rogue with Massachusetts registration when troopers stopped it on state Route 823 for a traffic violation. During the probable cause search, the drugs were discovered.

Porsha P. Taylor, 29, of Detroit was booked in the Scioto County Jail for possession and trafficking in fentanyl, both felonies.

She faces up to 22 years in prison and a fine of up to $40,000.
