Kathleen “Kathy” Ann Wiegers, born on May 13, 1948, in Gallipolis, Ohio, took her final bow on May 22, 2025. A cherished mother and grandmother, Kathy’s heart beat in rhythm with the laughter of her beloved granddaughters and son. She poured her love into every garden she tended and every tranquil moment spent on the waters of Lake White, where she found joy in the embrace of nature.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Barbara and Robert Martin, and one brother and sister in law, Robert and Donna Martin.
Kathy dedicated her working years to bringing comfort and care to others as a housekeeper at Heartland Nursing Home, leaving behind a legacy of kindness wherever she went. With a spirit that thrived in the great outdoors, she often found herself under the sun, nurturing blooms and creating memories with her family in the gardens she adored.
Kathy leaves behind her loving son Joshua Wiegers of Portsmouth, two granddaughters: Sarah and Natalie Wiegers of Wheelersburg, one great granddaughter on the way, one brother and sister in law, Richard and Vicki Martin of Fremont, OH.
Though she’s left this earth, her warmth and light will continue to guide those who knew and loved her. Kathy will be remembered for her gentle soul, her love for boating on the lake, and her unwavering dedication to her family.
Kathy, you will be missed but never forgotten, as your spirit lives on in the hearts of those you cherished most. Rest peacefully.
