Kenneth “Ray” Carver, 63, of Lucasville, went to be with the Lord June 16, 2025, at Concord Rehabilitation Center in Wheelersburg. He was born September 24, 1961, to the late Raymond and Freda (Phipps) Carver. Along with his parents, he was proceeded in death by a sister, Sheila Carver.
Ray went to Northwest High School and afterwards went on to work for the Ironworkers Union Local 769, The Maryland Transportation Authorities working as a mechanic for the Francis Scott Key Bridge, and Carver Trucking LLC as a driver. He attended Big Run United Baptist Church, being outdoors, boating, cooking on his pontoon, and caring for his MANY animals, above all he loved being with his family and surrounded by those he loved.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tracy (Duncan) Carver, who he married in Baltimore in 1985; 2 sons, Jimmie (Alisha) Carver and Matthew Coger both of Lucasville; 2 daughters, Tara (Aaron) Simpson of Wellston, and Autumn Coger of Lucasville; 2 brothers, Greg (Jill) Carver of Otway and Kelly (Joyce) Carver of Lucasville; 7 grandchildren, Thomas, Trinity, and Sofia Simpson, and Taylon, Odin, Sutton, and Lelabelle Carver; brothers and sisters-in-law, Linda and Tim Hresko of the state of Delaware, Bobby and Eric Kolkhorst of West Virginia, and Ginnie and Bob Watts of New Jersey; and a slew of cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and friends that will miss him greatly.
Funeral services will be 12PM Friday, June 20, 2025, at Big Run United Baptist Church in Lucasville with Brothers Skip Stewart, Amos Moore, and Charlie Montgomery officiating with interment to follow in Big Run Cemetery.
