Kevin S. Phipps, 64, of Wheelersburg passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022. He was born April 6, 1957, in Portsmouth, a son of Erma (Workman) Phipps and the late Wayne Phipps.
He was a former Corrections Officer at the Southern Ohio Correction Facility, a 1975 graduate of South Webster High School, and owned and operated the Little Scioto Golf Course. He enjoyed hunting but most of all he loved his golf course and the friends he made there.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Terri Turner Phipps; a son, Scotty Phipps, a daughter, Mallory (Ryan) Smith all of Wheelersburg; 3 brothers, Russ Phipps, Brian Phipps, and Shawn Phipps; 2 sisters, Sherry (Webster) Cox and Rhonda (Mike) Rose; grandchildren, Caryold Smith, Claire Phipps, Maeve Smith, Coryden Smith, Brynnan Phipps, Evelyn Smith and Mileva Smith; Johnny Ray McKenzie who was like a son, friend Brandon Grant and his many other friends at the golf course.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Shane Phipps.
Private services will be at a later date with arrangements being handled by the D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster.
