Kimberley Sue Bailey Southworth, 60 of Sciotoville

Kimberley Sue Bailey Southworth

Kimberley Sue Bailey Southworth, 60, of Sciotoville, died Monday, October 26, 2026 at her home. She was born April 18, 1966 in Portsmouth, to Harley “Butch” Bailey and Lori (Runyon) Lacey.

Kim loved people and adored her family. She always put family first, above everything. She was the type of person who enjoyed finding the value in the small things, loved yard sales, she adored Judge Judy, and was an aficionado of British History.

Kim had incredible recall of long forgotten historic events, and was truly a very intelligent person, who was also wise beyond her years.

Kim was modest, humble, kind and honest – a beautiful down to earth soul who’s passing has left both tremendous sadness and wonderful cherished memories for those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kari Southworth Mckinley.

Kim is survived by her fiancé, Rob Reid of Sciotoville, her father, Harley Bailey (Kim) of Portsmouth, her mother, Lori Lacey of Midland, N.C.,  two sons, Jason Southworth (Mara) of Virginia and Aaron Southworth (Kim) of Sciotoville, a brother, Robert Bailey (Shannon) of Mooresville, N.C., five grandchildren, C.J. McKinley, Grace Southworth, Ralph Southworth, Michael Southworth, and Dorothy Southworth, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, her lifelong friends Missy Cooper and Billy Buchanan, and her dog, Chicken.

We love you Kim.
