Kimberly Ann (Turner) Reynolds, beloved mother, grandmother, dog mom, and widow, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the age of 66.
Born October 4, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio to Kenneth Galen Turner (1926-2011) and Delores June Challender (1933-living), Kimberly was a lifelong introvert with a sharp wit and straightforward demeanor. She found her greatest joys in the quiet moments of life, especially in the companionship of her beloved dogs, who were her constant comfort and delight. After graduating from Bloom-Vernon High School, her empathy and pursuit of excellence led her to a career in nursing, where she dedicated years to the care of others. Later in life, she pursued her love of learning and earned a law degree from the University of Dayton Law School, demonstrating her resilience and determination to grow in every stage of life.
Although she wasn’t one to attend many gatherings or be the center of attention, Kimberly touched the lives of those who knew her in quiet, profound ways. Her honesty, wisdom, dry sense of humor and occasional sarcasm were qualities those close to her cherished deeply.
Kimberly is survived by her mother and three daughters: Kelly McBrayer (Jeff Stephens) and Sarah McBrayer (John Buckler) from her early marriage to Robert Lee McBrayer (1956-1989), and Rebecca Reynolds (Zackary Ayers). She is also survived by her stepson Douglas Reynolds (Rhonda Robinson), brother Terrence Turner (Patricia Entwisle), sister Deborah Turner (James Friend), 16 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Reynolds, whom she married February 9, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her father, sister Denise Turner (Joseph Dixon), daughter Kristen Reynolds, stepdaughter Katherine Reynolds, and one grandchild.
A celebration and memorial of her life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 3:00pm at the Valley Township Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Kimberly’s name to Cabin Critters Rescue in Wheelersburg, Ohio or to your local animal shelter in recognition of her love for dogs
