Late-Night 911 Call For Help Ends With ICE Detainer

Franklin County ICE

What began as a late-night call for help ended with a trip to jail after officers responding just before 11 p.m. determined the situation was more complicated than it first appeared.

Police were dispatched after a man called 911 asking for assistance. When officers made contact, they suspected the man was intoxicated, but communication proved difficult because he was speaking Spanish, creating an immediate language barrier.
