Jodi Rae Ridenour, 35, of 1490 County Road 64 Willow Wood, Ohio, was indicted by a Lawrence County Grand Jury on January 26, 2022, for two counts of Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor, a third-degree felony.
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation and discovered Ridenour was having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old minor.
Ridenour pled guilty to one count of Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor on June 21, 2022.
After a contentious sentencing hearing, Ridenour was sentenced to 54 months in prison by Honorable Judge Andrew Ballard on June 21, 2022.
Prosecutor Brigham M. Anderson proposed a maximum jail term of 60 months. The Defendant requested a sentence of Community Control.
Anderson said, “We believe with this sentence, justice has been served for the victim, the victim’s family, and the community as a whole. I will continue to work every day to assure that people who harm children are brought to justice.”
