Lenora Blevins-Holsinger, 60

Lenora Blevins-Holsinger, 60

Lenora Blevins-Holsinger, beloved wife and mother went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 12, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 12th, 1961 in Portsmouth to the late Jonas and Clara Belle Murphy Blevins.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Laura Mae Hayslip and Joyce Ann Cook, 2 brothers: Jonas Tom Blevins and William Red Blevins, a niece Stephanie Fry and 2 nephews: Greg Roe and Jason Richmond.

Lenora was the centerpiece of her family and friends. She was the glue that held everything together and never knew a stranger. If you ever needed a place to stay, a home-cooked meal, doctor’s appointment or just know any random questions, everyone went to her and she took care of it all. She loved gardening, her flowers, collecting purses, shoes, Willow figurines, and her red trucks. She liked going to Walmart and yard sales with her twin Arnold and the rest of her sisters and family. She made sure the Golden girls all wore matching shirts! We took her on vacation to Tennessee for her birthday and she got one of her dreams to come true when we surprised her with a trip to her favorite singer of all time Loretta Lynn’s Ranch.

She was in awe as she got to walk in Miss Loretta’s footsteps as we toured her house and property and got to touch items that were there. She even petted Miss Loretta‘s personal house cat and if you knew her she wasn’t fond of cats. She loved taking pictures and being the center of attention, but most of all she loved her family and friends with unwavering devotion. She was also a member of the Buena Vista Ladies Auxiliary for 20 years, presiding president of the voting district in Nile Township, and a member of the Pentecostal Church in Manchester.

Nora is survived by her loving husband of 47 years Carl Holsinger, a daughter Amy (Jeremy) Tomlin of West Union, and her pride and joy, granddaughter Emma Tomlin, sisters: Brenda (Paul) Parker of Stout, Wilma (Roy) Holsinger of Blue Creek, Audrey (Tommy) Roe of Friendship, Louise (Kenny) Holsinger of Friendship, Harriett (Ed) Richmond of Stout, Esther Cathy Blevins of Lima and Tami Joe Blevins of Columbus, 2 brothers: Roy Pete Blevins and Travis Jessica Blevins both of Friendship, nieces and nephews: Arnold, Kenny, Joe, Mary, Teresa, Amanda, Page, Dorothy Chelsea, Morgan, Henry, Harold, Clara Terry, Jerry, Nathan, Ricky, Erica, Jace, Zach, Courtney, Brandon, Ronald, Carly, Kody, Henry, Roy, and many more nieces and nephews that all held a special place in her life and her heart.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 19, 2020, at the Roger W Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Larry Henry officiating and interment at McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8:00 PM on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
