Linda Lou (Hutchinson) Green, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Born on July 10, 1943, in Portsmouth, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of the late Louis and Sarah Hutchinson.
Linda dedicated her life to caring for others. She retired after fulfilling a 41-year career as a nurse but continued to embody the spirit of a caretaker in all aspects of her life. Whether offering medical support, providing a place of comfort, or preparing a home-cooked meal, Linda’s love and generosity touched everyone around her.
A devoted member of Swauger Valley Free Will Baptist Church, Linda and her husband, Donald Anderson, were deeply involved in their faith community. She found great joy in teaching young Sunday school students and preparing meals for church gatherings, always serving with kindness and compassion.
Linda is survived by her husband, Donald Anderson; her children, Bobbie Jo Gannon and David (Angela) Green; eight grandchildren, Amber, Eric, Danielle, Sarah, Lynda, Leah, Jeffrey, and Alexis; eleven great grandchildren, Baylee, Blake, Kaden, Ellie, Gavin, Bryson, Scarlette, Nadia, Christopher, Paisley, and Warren; one great –great grandchild, Ruger, and one sister, Peggy (Jack) Maddox. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobbie Green; two children, Dinah Tugwell and Jeffrey Green, and six brothers, Charles, Norman, Billy, Richard, Jimmy, and Ralph.
Linda’s unwavering faith and compassionate heart leave a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she cherished.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Mike Simpson officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
