Linda Marie Brown passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. Born on August 30, 1943, in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Carl Glen and Anise Marie Pierce Hafer and was a member of the Wheelersburg Baptist Church.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Raymond G. “Curly Joe” Brown and a brother, Billie Hafer.
Surviving are her daughter, Pammie (Jim) Kurtz of Wheelersburg; two brothers, Jim (Karen Sue) Hafer of Rosemount and Rusty (Lisa) Hafer of Sciotoville; a sister, Carla “Susie” (Lee) Phillips of Wheelersburg; a granddaughter, Michelle (Darrick) Tackett of Wheelersburg; two great grandsons, Joshua Ray and Braxton Tackett; several nieces and nephews and a special “adopted” son, Greg (Beverly) Thompson of South Webster.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Pastor Brad Brandt and Pastor Matt Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
The family will receive guests at BRANT’S from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 10th.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sierra’s Haven for New and Used Pets.
