Louree “Susie” Hall, 90 of Rarden, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Edgewood Manor in Lucasville. She was born on May 23, 1934 in Portsmouth to the late Herbert Burden and the late Beatrice Ann “Annie” Brewer Burden. On January 31, 1953, she was united in marriage to Glenn Edward Hall who preceded her in death on October 27, 2011. Surviving are her children; Cathy (Christopher) Shepherd of Otway and Gwen (Jeffrey) Mason of Lucasville; grandchildren, Todd Mason of Lucasville, Robin Mason (Heath Drummond) Davis of Portsmouth, Chris Shepherd of Otway and Nick (Tracy) Shepherd of Otway; great grandchildren, Hayley, Garret, Brendan, Aby, Mikenna, Nevaeh, Ali, Janessa, Kaylee, Ashleigh and Kenzie; great-great-grandchildren, Carmen and Zeke and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her grandson; Michael Ryan Hall and her siblings; Leo Burden, Ronald Burden, Critz Burden, Ella Louis Rhoades, Geneva Gibson and Loretta Burden.
Susie was a 1952 graduate from Otway schools and retired from Scioto County Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services and was a lifetime member of Community of Christ Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with Doug and Connie Altman officiating. Burial will follow in UP Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
