Lucas M. Baer (“Luke”), of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away after a long and courageous battle with juvenile diabetes.
Luke was born May 26th, 1987 in Dayton, Ohio to his loving parents, Scott and Lori Baer. He was a 2005 graduate of Tecumseh High School in New Carlisle, OH. Luke loved the outdoors and found much joy being out in nature. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed mowing grass and spending time with those he loved. Luke was also happy to choose organ donation, and was able to do so through Lifeline of Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Donna Voorheis, and his paternal grandparents, Ted and Joyce Baer.
Luke is survived by his parents, Scott Baer of Portsmouth and Lori (née Voorheis) Baer of Portsmouth, his grandfather, Roger Voorheis of Lucasville, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
Honoring Luke’s wishes, no services will be held.
