Parts Stolen Off Car

Catalytic converters aren’t the only parts thieves steal off cars. AT 7:50 am, a Grant Street caller reported a fender flare pried off their vehicle. The crook did approximately $500 worth of damage to the vehicle.

Porch Pirate

A Spring Street caller reported a package stolen from their porch at 7:30 am. The resident said they had security footage of the theft. Police took information for a report.

He called the police again at 1:16 pm to say he thought he knew where his items were.

Police headed to the address, read a woman her rights, and retrieved the items.  They released the evidence to the victim.

Driver Injured By Flying Mattress

Just before 11 am, a mattress flew off a truck on Gallia Street and crashed through the windshield of a vehicle.

An ambulance transported the driver to SOMC. Police issued a ticket to the truck driver for having an unsecured load.

Suspicious Activity

At 11:17 am, a caller reported two men in dark clothing passing something back and forth near the dumpster for the Family Dollar on Gallia. Police were unable to locate them.

A caller reported a man panhandling money on Gallia Street at 11:18 am. The man moved between Taco Bell, McDonald’s, and Wendy’s.

Dog Fight

A High Street resident contacted police at 4:14 pm about issues with a neighbor. He said he’s in an ongoing disagreement with her over her dog. Someone poisoned the dog and now the woman blames him.

He said she’d threatened him. Police took information for a report.
