Officers tasered an out-of-control man who refused to put on clothes at a Coal Grove home.
It started when a worried grandma called 911 to report her adult grandson was running around the house naked in front of his great-grandma and acting strangely, refusing to get dressed. She said her grandson frequently did things to upset them and then laughed at them.
Officers arrived at the scene with EMS, but the grandson refused to go for a medical evaluation. An officer told the man he was under arrest, but he refused to cooperate and resisted attempts to handcuff him.
After officers got him restrained, he refused to stand up. Officers lifted him up and carried him outside. He threw himself on the ground and hit an officer’s knee with his head. Officers said he fought when they attempted to put him in a squad car and blocked them from shutting the door.
Once they got to the Lawrence County Jail, he refused to get out of the cruiser. An officer sustained minor injuries to his hands and back during the incident.
