Man Arrested after Overdose on Wilson Avenue

Portsmouth Police took a man into custody after a report of an overdose on Wilson Avenue at 9:30 pm. 

The call for an overdose in the 5400 hundred block of Wilson came in at 9:26 pm. Four police units and medics responded to the scene. 

Police discovered the victim had an open bench warrant from Portsmouth Municipal Court for driving with a suspended license. 

An ambulance transported the man to the hospital to be medically cleared. Police then arrested him on the open warrant and transported him to the Scioto County Jail. 

Flowerpot Thief Hits School

An employee of the Portsmouth STEM Academy contacted police just after 3 pm to report he had video of a man who stole a flowerpot from the school. 

Police traced the suspect vehicle to Woodland Avenue and took a 42-year-old man into custody for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

New Boston Police also had an open warrant for the man. Police booked him and took him to the Scioto County Jail. He was released on bond.
