Man Arrested at NA Meeting 

An Anonymous meeting turned out not to be so anonymous for a man with an open warrant through the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.  

A caller reported seeing the man at an NA meeting on 4th Street.  

Officers responded to the scene, took the man into custody, served him with a warrant, booked him into the jail, and immediately released him.  

Wanted Man Passes Our on 7th Street Porch 

Just before 8 pm, a caller reported a man passed out on the porch of a 7th Street home.  

Officers and EMTs responded to the scene. Police discovered the man had an open warrant through the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office. After EMTs cleared the suspect, police took him into custody and booked him into the Scioto County Jail.  

Gunshots Reported on River Road 

Just before 11 pm, police responded to a report of two gunshots fired in the 1500 block of River Road. Witnesses said they spotted four cars at the scene and gave police a description of a Chevy Silverado and Jeep Wrangler.  

The caller said the vehicle drove off over the levy in the direction of Offnere and that someone was walking around the area with a flashlight. 

When police arrived on the scene, they didn’t see anything suspicious and other people in the area said they hadn’t heard gunshots. 

Kid With Golf Club Reportedly Attacks Kia 

Just after 11:30 pm, a caller told PPD they saw a shirtless kid with a golf club walking back and forth on Valley Street, and they noticed the window busted out of a Kia.  

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the Kia with the broken window and spoke to the kid and his father.  

Police said the family was cooperative. The kid admitted he was hitting golf balls in the woods earlier, but the family said the window on the Kia was broken by the owner’s son a few weeks ago.  

Officers observed no glass on the ground near the car but said they would speak to the owner to confirm.
