Man Arrested for 20 Counts of Inappropriate Pictures of Children Under 12 years old

The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Electronic Crime Branch has taken action in response to an ongoing child sexual abuse material investigation. Henry D. Hampton, 27, was located, interviewed, and subsequently arrested on charges connected to this disturbing case.

The investigation, which began as part of an undercover operation conducted by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit, targeted Hampton after discovering that he was uploading sexually explicit images involving minors to an online social media platform. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch swiftly took action to address this serious matter.

As a result of their diligent work, a search warrant was executed at Hampton’s location in Catlettsburg on September 11, 2023. During the search, law enforcement seized equipment believed to have been used in facilitating the criminal activities. This evidence was subsequently transported to the KSP’s forensic laboratory for thorough examination.

Henry D. Hampton now faces serious charges, with a total of 20 counts of possessing matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance. This offense is classified as a Class-C felony under Kentucky law, carrying a potential sentence of five to ten years in prison.

Following his arrest, Hampton was remanded to the Boyd County Detention Center. The Kentucky State Police continue to work diligently to ensure the safety and protection of minors in the community.
