Man Busted For 35th Time After Passing Out in Car on Kendall Avenue

A repeat offender found himself back in police custody after a caller reported a man passed out in a parked car on Kendall Avenue. The caller said the vehicle was parked on the sidewalk.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found Gerald McGlone, 36. McGlone has 34 previous arrests on charges ranging from criminal trespass to repeated probation violations to drug possession.

Police arranged to have the vehicle towed and took McGlone into custody for failure to control.

Under the Influence at Speedway

Just after 1 am, a citizen flagged down a Portsmouth Police officer to report a man passed out at the Speedway on Gallia.

Police discovered a man with an open warrant and took him into custody for drug possession and driving without a license. He was booked into the Scioto County Jail.

Just up the hill at Kendall and 17th, the manager of the Oasis Convenient Mart reported a man harassing customers as they came and went from the building. The manager wanted the man barred from the property.

Unfortunately, the man left the scene before the police arrived. Officers told employees to call them if the man returned.
