Man Busted Twice in Four Days for Violating a Protection Order

Portsmouth Police arrested a man for the second time in four days after responding to a call in Wayne Hills just after 4 pm. 

A resident said her ex, who had been barred from the apartment complex with a protection order, had shown up. 

Officers searched the apartment next door and took Devon Ward into custody for violating the protection order. This was the second time in four days, he’d been picked up on that charge. 

Officers booked him into the Scioto County Jail. He’s being held on $70,000 bail.

Man Busted for DUI After Gallia Street Crash

Portsmouth Police took a man into custody after a crash in the 4800 block of Gallia on Tuesday evening. 

Just after 8 pm, officers responded to a report of a truck crash near the salt pile by the tracks on Gallia. Medics and officers responded to the scene, but the driver refused to take a sobriety test. 

Police arranged to have the vehicle towed and booked Kimbley Scott into the Scioto County Jail on charges of DUI and failure to control a vehicle.

He was immediately released without bond per the court.
