A Campbell Street resident contacted PPD at 12:30 am to report a bizarre incident involving some bad pot. He told 9-1-1 that a man had come into his yard with a gun to threaten him over a disagreement involving marijuana. The caller said the man was driving a beige SUV and had parked it on Elm Street.

He explained to police that a gun-toting out-of-towner who was visiting his neighbor forced him to smoke some pot that he believed was laced with another drug.

He said the man insisted the weed was fine but pushed the neighbor to the side and said it was all about to go bad, and threatened him with the gun. He claimed he had video of the incident but did not want to press charges. He told police to leave the scene because he didn’t want anyone to see them there. Officers said to call them back if he changed his mind.

Police did check the area where the SUV was allegedly parked, but did not see the vehicle.
