Man Calls Cops When There’s No Room at the Inn

A man called 9-1-1 when the Four Keys Inn on the Scioto Trail told him there was no room for him at the Inn. He complained to police that the hotel had refused to rent him a room just after midnight.

Hotel employees weren’t particularly pleased with him either. They called the police to complain that they told him to leave the property, but he had refused. 

Portsmouth Police Officers headed to the scene to diffuse the situation. They settled it by offering the man a ride to the Royal Inn on Kendall Avenue. An officer dropped the guy off at the hotel just before 1 am.

Man Overdoses at Royal Inn 

Reports of suspicious activity kept officers busy during the evening hours. At 6 pm, police responded to a report of a man overdosing at the Royal Inn on Kendall Avenue. Three squads and an EMS unit responded to the call. Officers detained the man who agreed to accept help from The Counseling Center. 

Just before 8 pm, a caller reported a woman in a black van nodding in and out at the First Stop Market. She left the scene before the police arrived. 

Callers reported a man attempting to get into vehicles in the alley behind Patsy’s Inn just before 8 pm. Police spoke with the man but observed no damage to vehicles. 

Police responded to Bannon Park for a report that two men dropped a meth lab into trash cans around 9:31 pm. Officers checked the trash but found no evidence of a meth lab.
