Officers rushed to a home on St. Rt. 140 just before 2 am after a man called 911 to confess to a horrible crime. Most of the call was unintelligible, but the operator was able to make out, “I killed my sister and her kids.”
A few minutes later, someone called back from the number to say that the man was on drugs and causing a scene. They called back a few minutes later to report he was armed.
When officers arrived at the home, they found the man sitting in a car and took him into custody. Deputies soon discovered no one had been killed. However, the man was clearly confused and under the influence of drugs.
He appeared to believe he was his father. Officers send for an ambulance. Due to the man’s altered mental status, they accompanied medics to the hospital.
