Man Flips Out at Atomic Credit Union

An angry man cussed out employees at the Atomic Credit Union in Lucasville, apparently over a lost card.

Around 4:30 pm, he came into the bank to attempt to claim a bank card that an employee had found earlier in the day. However, he had no identification. The man became angry and began to cuss out the employees. He also did some minor damage to the front door before leaving.

A few minutes later, the man called the Sheriff’s Office to file a complaint against the credit union and to report that his wallet was stolen a few days earlier. When deputies went to his residence to speak to him he declined to file a report on the wallet.

The bank decided not to press charges but did bar the man from the property.

Thieves Hit Wheelersburg Home

A Wheelersburg man flagged down a Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputy at 1 am to report some suspicious activity at his home.

The deputy spotted a man dressed all in black waving his arms at a gas station on River Road. The man explained that his family woke him up when someone tried to break into his truck.

He ran outside and spotted a gold sedan driving away and tried to give chase. Police searched the area but didn’t find anything. However, they did have some suspects in mind due to recent thefts in the area.
