Man Found Unconscious Beside Dumpster
Just before 3 am, Norfolk & Southern Railroad employees reported an unconscious man in the road beside a dumpster under the Young Street Overpass.
When officers arrived on the scene, they took the man into custody and booked him into the Scioto County Jail.
At 6 am, another caller reported another man passed out in the road underneath the overpass. The man said he was sleeping in his vehicle. Officers arranged for him to get a ride home.
Just after 8 pm, police responded to the overpass on Chillicothe Street after a caller reported a man lying on the sidewalk. Officers took him into custody.
Sidewalk Sleepers Take Over Tracy Park Stage
Just after 5 pm, a caller reported two men passed out on the stage at Tracy Park. The caller said they appeared to be under the influence.
Officers advised the men to leave the scene.
At 8:44 am, employees of Dick Spencer Insurance reported a man slumped over on the back porch of a building. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a sleeping man and told him to leave the area.
Just after 11 am, an employee of D&S Rentals reported that several people were camping on their property. They asked officers to have them move on and stay off the property. She said the campers had furniture and other items set up in the alley.
When police spoke to one of the campers, she said she thought it was public property. The police advised her to get her things together and move on.
