Man Gets Stuck Under Bridge Doing Yoga

Officers responded to multiple complaints of issues at local bars and a drunk driver was bused on 8th Street

Problems at Party Time

Officers responded to Party Time Bar after a caller reported an acquaintance had threatened to harm himself and was sending pictures and texts threatening to cut his wrists. The man was parked in a vehicle outside the bar. 

Police said the man was intoxicated and had lacerations on his palm and wrist and made several threats to harm himself. He refused medical treatment, but police explained to him that they would pink slip him if he didn’t go willingly. 

An ambulance transported him to the hospital. 

Bar Brawls Break Out

Just before 2 am a caller reported a fight at Richard Noggins. It turned out the disturbance was verbal and the involved parties left.

Ten minutes later, a man reported he was assaulted in the bathroom at Frank & Steins Lounge. Officers went to the bar to meet him and take a report.

Ten minutes after that, police were called back to Richard Noggins for a report of a large fight. The fight broke up before officers arrived. 

Drunk Driver Busted on 8th Street

Officers stopped a suspected drunk driver at 8th and Waller Street at 2:35 am. They took the woman to the Ohio State Patrol post for a sobriety test and impounded the vehicle. 

Police arrested the woman for OVI and took her passenger home. 

Man Gets Stuck Under Bridge Doing Yoga

A man contacted police at 9 am to report he got stuck under a bridge near the old railroad tracks at 5th and Bloom while doing yoga.

Officers caught up with him on the tracks and gave him a ride home. They said he appeared to have mental health issues. 

Under the Influence

Just before 9am, an officer responded to a report of an overdose on 18th Street. Police discovered there was an open warrant on the man for parole violation. However, he was released from custody.

At 4:26 pm, a woman reported finding her friend blue at a 14th Street apartment. She administered Narcan and revived him before medics arrived at the scene. 

Possible Jumper Reported on Bridge

A witness reported a man on the U.S. Grant Bridge who looked like he was ready to jump. 

Officer didn’t see anyone on the bridge but advised Greenup County to keep an eye out. 

Suspicious Activity

A witness reported two men touching an employee in the Kroger parking lot at 6 pm. The pair were now walking towards Tracy Park.

One man returned to the store while officers were on the scene. Police detained him while they investigated the incident. 

Disturbed Daughter

A Summit Street mom contacted police to report her daughter kicked out her window just before 6:30 pm. 

She said the daughter broke the glass out of a screen door after a verbal altercation. The mom did not want to press charges.
