Man Goes Door to Door to Cuss Out Neighbors
Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an unusual call on Snook Road just before 1 am. Witnesses said a man was running up and down the road and going door-to-door to cuss out his neighbors.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they requested an ambulance for the man, but he did not want to go to the hospital.
Police advised him to stay off other people’s property and to stop disturbing the peace.
Officers were called back to the area at 1:30 pm the next day for a report that the man was yelling and carrying on and had been spotted with a weapon.
Since the man made no direct threats to himself or others, officers could not take him into custody. However, they did advised concerned parties on legal steps they could take to get the man help.
Woman Arrested for 23rd Time
At 11 am, callers reported people inside a condemned house on 6th Street. Police took Brettney Byrd into custody for criminal trespass and probation violations.
Officers booked her into the Scioto County Jail on Charges of criminal trespass and probation violation. This was the 23rd arrest for the 36-year-old woman and her third arrest so far this year.
Previous arrests include multiple counts of probation violation, possessing drug abuse instruments, theft, petty theft, contempt, burglary, DUI, and illegal conveyance of weapons.
Man Revived After Overdose on Wayne Avenue
Officers and medics responded to Wayne Avenue just before 2:30 pm after a report of a man overdosing.
First responders administered Narcan to revive the man. However, he refused further medical treatment and ran off when officers arrived on the scene.
Officers attempted to locate the man to make sure he was not intoxicated but could not locate him.
Suspect Tasered On 3rd Street
Officers attempting to serve a warrant ended up deploying a taser at 3rd and Madison Streets just before noon.
Police said one suspect resisted arrest, and an officer was forced to deploy a Taser. An ambulance arrived on the scene and removed the stun gun probes from the suspect.
After medics cleared the man, he was booked into the Scioto County Jail on an open warrant and on a charge of resisting arrest.
