Man Hit By Falling Tree – Ambulances in Short Supply
Getting help for a man injured by a falling tree limb in Minford proved to be something of a challenge on Thursday evening.
When an ambulance responded to the scene, it requested an air ambulance to transport the victim to the hospital.

However, MedFlight said no helicopters were available in the area, and it would take at least an hour for one to get there. Air Evac was not available either. An air ambulance was available in Brown County, but it needed to refuel and would also take almost an hour to get to the scene.
The rescue squad decided to transport the man to SOMC for treatment.
