Officers and EMS responded to a rehab center after a report that a man had come into the facility and started nodding off. After it became apparent that he was overdosing, staff administered Naloxone and moved him to an isolated room.
By the time officers arrived at the South Point facility, they described the man as out of his head and fidgety and said he was rapidly moving around. EMS got the man onto a cot and out to the ambulance. When officers asked him what he’d taken, he told them he could not remember. Medics transported him to a Huntington hospital for treatment.
Officers responded to the same rehab center after a client there told them she’d given one of the workers her credit card to buy her cigarettes and a vape. She said that when her card was returned, there was $251 missing from her account that she learned had been spent at the TJ Maxx in Barboursville. Officers took information for a report.
