Man Reports Racially Motivated Axe Attack
A man called police just after 3 am to claim a man inside a Kendall Avenue apartment had called him racial slurs and came at him with an ax.
When police arrived at the apartment, the complainant had left. The resident of the apartment said the man was a guest of his daughters who became upset when he asked him to leave. He said the man pulled a knife on him, so he grabbed a wood club and forced him out of the apartment.
Officers advised everyone to calm down and stay away from each other.
Bizarre Visitor Harasses Grandview Avenue Family
Police investigated a bizarre incident early Monday morning on Grandview Avenue.
Just before 7 am, a resident reported a strange man banging on his door asking for a ride. He said the man appeared to have been recently released from the hospital and was carrying a gray bag.
When officers arrived at the scene, the man was gone. However, he had left some trash behind on the porch. Officers disposed of it at the owner’s request.
