Portsmouth police and EMS responded to several overdose calls during the afternoon and evening.
Just after 2 pm, police officers and first responders headed to a home on 24th Street after a report that a man overdosed on the back porch of a home.
When the man was revived with Narcan, he hopped up and ran off. He was last spotted at the Calvary Baptist Church running around and yelling. However, he left the scene before officers could find him.
Officers responded to another report of an overdose at 3:30 pm, this time at the Woodbine Apartments on Kendall Avenue. An ambulance transported the victim to the hospital.
Another overdose call came in at 1:30 am. Officers responded to Thomas Avenue to check on the man. Police said the man regained consciousness and refused additional treatment from PFD medics.
