Helping Hand

At 8 pm, callers reported a vehicle stopped in the northbound lane of the Scioto Trail. An officer assisted with moving the vehicle out of the road and dropped the driver off on Kent Street.

Mysterious Gun

A scary discovery at a Summit Street home. A resident found a gun on their back porch at 8:05 pm. An officer impounded the firearm.

Just after 10 pm, police responded to a report of a break-in at a vehicle in the H&R Block Parking Lot. Several items were stolen. Police took information for a report.

Man Sets Self on Fire, Ends Up in Jail

A medical fire helped send a man to jail. Just before 8 am, someone called 911 but was unable to speak. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered a man’s oxygen tank had caused a medical fire.

They also discovered the man had an open warrant from the Lawrence County Jail. Officers took the man into custody. Police met Lawrence County Deputies at the county line to transfer the prisoner.
